Simba appoints Frenchman Pierre Lechantre as coach
Simba Sports club have named 2000 African cup of Nations wining coach Frenchman Pierre Lechantre as the head coach
He steered Cameroon to the 2000 title .
The French replaces Joseph Omog who was fired last month .
The 68 year old who until his appointment was the coach of Congo national team comes at a time when Simba tops the standings of the vodacom league but with a series of poor run in the cup competitions
He has 31 years experience in managerial duties and has also coached African giants All Ahly ,Tunisian CS Sfaxien and Club Africa in and Mali National team .His first managerial role was with French side Paris FC between 1987-1992 .
The naming comes just when the Dar giants have got a huge win beating fourth placed Singida United 4-0 in a week 13 VPL match today .
