Dar giants Simba will now represent the country in next year’s CAF Confederations Cup after a hard fought 2-1 victory over giant-killers Mbao in an entertaining ill-tempered match played last evening at the Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma.

Simba came into the match with victory embedded on their mind considering their long stay out of continental competition while the Mwanza-based side was not under any pressure being their first season in top flight soccer and the first tie in the domestic cup final

The match which was attended by several dignitaries including  Ministers saw Simba beat Mbao 2-1 after a grueling goalless draw in normal time.

Goals from  Fredrick Blagnon in the 95th minute of extra time opened the score sheet for Simba after getting a fine pass from  Abdi Banda before Mbao equalized to make it 1-1.

With just a minute to end of extra time and possible penalty shootout, Shiza Kichuya scored from the spot to send the msimbazi giants to 9the continentals
