By Austin Oduor,
Simba Sports Club of Tanzania have lost hope in the quest to net Gor Mahia enterprising goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch and have instead shifted focus on Ivorian Vincent Angban who was undergoing trials at Azam.
Angban is already with the team in Zanzibar and he is being assessed for possible signing, that is if he impresses the technical bench.
Samba was banking on signing the Gor Mahia keeper but were informed that the keeper got an invite to South African PSL club Bidvest Wits.
The Clubs Top hierarchy has decided to give the Ivorian keeper more time to be assessed before he is signed.
“The coach has given his recommendation of signing a top quality keeper to offer real competition to Ivo Malinda, we had began with Oluoch but it’s now impossible, we shift focus to the Ivorian” acting Samba Secretary General Collins Frisch confirmed to Soka25east in Dar es Salaam.
Angban will be assessed by Keeper trainer Kenyan Abdul Ida Salem.
