The leagues curtain raiser pitting defending champions Yanga against Domestic cup winners Simba took place yesterday at the National stadium in Dar .
Simba were winners after beating Yanga 5-3 on post match penalties after the two teams drew level 0-0 in Regulation time
Both teams paraded their news signings and after a gruesome 90 minutes of intensive football activity the two giants could not see the back of the net either side
In the penalties ,Simba had to thank Method Mwangale ,Emanuel Okwi,H Niyonzima ,Shiza Kichuya and Mohammed Ibrahim for the goals with Mohammed Hussein missing the target .Yanga fell short of victory via the spot kicks after Kelvin Yondani and Jima Mahadhi missed the target leaving only Thabani Kamusoko,Pasy Tshishimbi,Emmanuel Martin and Donald Ngoma with the goals
The tow teams begin their league quest with matches over the weekend .Yanga will take on rookies Lipuli while Simba will take on Ruvu Shooting
