Simba received the Vodacom Mainland Premier League trophy after being crowned 2019/20 champions in their game against Namungo FC played at Majaliwa Stadium in Lindi region which ended goalless.

In the game played on Wednesday, head coach Sven Vandenbroeck fielded fringe players with another eye in Sunday’s Azam Sports Federation Cup semi-final match against Yanga.

The game played at Majaliwa Stadium and attended by a huge crowd was exciting with both sides displaying good football it is unfortunate there was no goals.

This is Simba’s second consecutive goalless draw after our match against Tanzania Prisons played at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.

The jubilant squad will head back to Mtwara region and tomorrow leave for Dar es Salaam to prepare for the ASFC semi final match which will be played on Sunday.
