Simon HappyGod Msuva was crowned Vodacom Tanzania Premier League top scorer finishing with 17 goals to his name as he helped Yanga win their 25th title in style on Monday in Dar Es Salaam.
The soft spoken Msuva has been in red hot form for his club scoring beautiful and important goals in his quest to be named the Vodacom Tanzania Premier League player of the year .
Speaking to Soka25east.com after Yanga’s win Msuva was elated by his fete but remained composed alluding to the fact that the win for Yanga was the most important.
“I want to thank God for helping my Team to win the league its a great moment for the entire playing unit and to our fans who have stood by us in every game.I belive it has been all about team work and not personal glory but in the same breath i am glad the goals i scored played a big part in our quest for the League title”
“As a footballer its always ones dreams to score as many goals and be among the very best and i want to thank God for the good health and energy and also my team mates because without them i would not have scored the goals like a i did”Msuva told Soka25east.com
Proded to comment if he deserved to win the prestigious player of the year award, Msuva laughed off the sentiments saying “I did my job and so many players played well so its not upon me to decide who should be the player of the year “he added
