Smouha moved to the group stage of the Confederation Cup after beating South Africa’s side Bidvest Wits 1-0 in the second leg of the Round of 16 on Saturday evening.
Smouha who made this stage for the first time qualified for the next stage under the leadership of coach Moumen Suleiman.
Ahmed Hassan Meki scored the only goal from a controversial penalty awarded by the referee in the 36th minute.
Muamen Sulaiman began the match with an offensive plan, seeking to score a goal that allowed him to climb up and intensify his attack.
Miky almost took advantage of a defensive foul on Bidvest, but the end of the attacks prevented his team from advancing in the first 10 minutes.
In the second half, with Bidvest changed their way to try to score a goal that would qualify them for the teams.
Mohammed Abu Jabal, guard of the Smouha, responded to a powerful shot from a distance and turned it into a corner.
The defense of Smouha solidified against the control of Bidvest until they grabbed the chance to qualify for the group stage.
