Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan has been called in for praise by one of his former club coaches.
The current KCCA FC goalie’s performance in the 4-3 win over Al-Masry, Saturday 15 April 2017was magnificent, according to the Somalia national team goalkeepers coach Moses Oloya.
The former goalkeeper’s coach at KCCA FC, Sports Club Victoria University, The Saints FC and Onduparaka FC, Oloya, was Ochan’s coach when he last won innargural Nile Basin trophy in 2014 with Victoria University defeating AFC Leopards.
And yesterday Ochan pulled off a string of fine saves to deny Al Masry two penalties to send Kasasiro boys into group stages of CAF Confederations Cup earning former coach praises.
“He had a standout game and fully deserved to be man of the match.He was awesome for KCCA on the day,” said Oloya.
Ochan joined Kasasiro boys in January 2015 on a two year deal for his second stint and later extendend the contract to one year. He had previously played with KCCA during the 2007/08 season.
