Sofapaka sufferd their first defeat of the season losing to visitors Sony Sugar 0-1 in an entertaining match played at the Kenyatta Stadium,Machakos on Sunday Afternoon.
The solitary goal was scored by Erick Oduor in the 34th minute as the Sugar men held on to the famous win.
The game begun on a positive note with both sides attacking looking for a breakthough but it was Sony Sugar who got better off their opponents as they Oduor broke the deadlcok beating the star studded team.
The win catapulted Sony Sugar to top of the table after winning two matches in their 2014 season to move to six points .
Sony Sugar’s coach Zedekiah “Zico” Otieno was elated with the win praising the players “I am really delighted with our perfomance as it has been improving in every game.Sofapaka were definately very tough opponents but we remained relentless and belived that we could upset them and alas we emerged victorious after the 90 minutes”Zico told Soka25east.com
