The South Africa Premier League has confirmed that they will appeal in Ajax Cape Town Tendai Ndoro matter.
Premier Soccer League Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza says former Ajax Cape Town striker Tendai Ndoro should have approached the FIFA Players Committee to confirm his eligibility.
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) will appeal Judge Fisher’s judgment on the Tendai Ndoro saga and they are confident that the 2018/19 season will start in time next month.
This was confirmed by the PSL’s chairman, Irvin Khoza, on Thursday after an emergency executive committee meeting at the league’s offices in Parktown.
Judge Fisher, at the Gauteng High Court, set aside Advocate William Mokhari’s ruling that had found Ajax Cape Town guilty on five charges of misconduct arising from the fielding of Ndoro who was deemed ineligible to play.
Ajax Cape Town was reinstated back into the Absa Premiership League following a court ruling..The mother city based club had been relegated to National First Division after points were deducted for using an eniligble player Ndoro.
“We will first appeal the matter and go to Judge Fischer to request leave to appeal should we fall in this regard we will then go to the FIFA Players Status Committee” said Khoza
The chairman added that the 2018/19 Absa Premiership Season will start on time on Friday 03 August.
