South Sudan will battle it out with Sudan in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday, 11 June.
The Group B encounter will take place at the Juba Stadium in the capital and largest city of South Sudan, Juba.
The Bright Stars of South Sudan managed to frustrate Togo in their previous match as the game ended in a 1-1 draw away on 5 June.
As a result, the Bright Stars have two points in Group B having drawn with Mauritania and Togo after losing to Senegal.
South Sudan are currently fifth in Group B standings – a point behind fourth-placed Togo with seven games left in this round.
Tito Okello – who has five goals for South Sudan – will be looking to inspire the Bright Starts to a win over Sudan.
Meanwhile, Sudan are oozing with confidence after securing a win in their most recent game as they defeated Mauritania 2-0 away on 6 June.
As a result, Sudan’s Falcons of Jediane have seven points from their first three matches in Group B having recorded a draw against Togo before defeating DR Congo and Mauritania.
The Falcons of Jediane are placed second in the Group B standings – a point behind leaders, Senegal and level on points with third-placed DR Congo.
Seif Teiri – who scored his 10th goal for Sudan against Mauritania – will be eager to score again and propel the Falcons of Jediane to another win.
In Head-to-Head stats, this will be the third meeting between the two neighbours, South Sudan and Sudan.
The Falcons of Jediane boast of an unbeaten record against the Bright Starts having recorded one win and one draw.
