South Sudan started their first ever world Cup campaign match woth a 1-1 draw against visiting Mauritania in Juba today.
The match was stopped yesterday after being disrupted by heavy downpour at the capital Juba and had to be replayed today.
The goals scored yesterday stood as no goals were scored today.
Mauritania scored early in the 3rd minute through Boubacar Beiguylli before Dominic Pretio Aboi drew level two minutes later before the match was interrupted.
The draw puts FIFA’s new nation at a more difficult situation as they have to beat Mauritania in Nouckcot on tuesday October 13th
