Nakuru All Stars v AFC Leopards (Afraha Stadium, 2pm)
Leopards clawed their way back to hold Bandari to a one all draw on Monday at Nyayo Stadium while their weekend opponent Nakuru based side managed to score two goals against Ulinzi Stars in their last match before capitulating in the second half to lose 3-2.
They will, however, have taken heart in the fact that they can draw
blood from the cash striped Ingwe and inflict more misery to their
injuries.
Nakuru AllStars coach Peter Okidi was impressed with the way his boys
managed against Ulinzi but maintains his defence needs to mature up.
“If we can fix our defence, we will be in a better position.” speaking
after the Nakuru derby. Okidi however admitted that the team showed
generally good play in the match and said that the talents recruited
in the mid-season break were the right one.
Ingwe are winless in their last two matches where they played without the presence of their influential Croatian coach Zdravko Logaruisic. The Croat is still doubtful for this match over unpaid salaries by the club.
Ingwe inflicted a 3-1 defeat to All Stars in their first leg encounter
and will start as favourites as they look to get back into the top
three positions in the league table.
