Derby abandoned , Thika United beat Ushuru to end a poor six-match winless strike,Okumbi re-surface to earn a point, Chemelil Sugar ended their four match winless run as city stars ends Kimanzi title hope.

Gor Mahia v AFC Leopards (Nyayo Stadium, match abandoned)

The much anticipated city derby was called off in the 69th minute following crowd trouble with the duel locked at 0-0.

AFC Leopards coach Zdravko Logarusic had presented a highly defensive game with his goalkeeper Lucas Indeche giving good account of himself to effectively keep at bay the most prolific attacking team in the league this season.

Defending champions Gor were unable to unlock the Ingwe defense for the entire first half. Things took a dramatic turn in the 64th minute when referee Raphael Nduati called Ingwe captain Jackson Saleh for handling the ball inside the box and awarded K’Ogalo a penalty.

Fans began throwing stones into the stadium and after 20 minutes of runing battle, Nduati had no choice but to call off the match. Scores were injured during the chaos.

Thika United 2-0 Ushuru (Thika County Stadium)

Thika United ended their run of six matches without a win with a resounding win against Ken kenyatta side .

Kennedy Otieno, who had been sidelined by Bryett for the last couple of matches, returned to the starting lineup and paid stand in coach Moses Irungu for his faith with the opening score in the 10th minute, a lovely goal.

Timothy Luda doubled the lead for Thika in the 71st minute with an angled header past Ushuru goalkeeper Samuel Odhiambo.

The brewers began the match on a sluggish note and suffered a setback
in the 36th minute when their goalkeeper Duncan Ochieng was sent off
for deliberating handling the ball outside the box.

With their opponent down to 10 men, Gambian striker Ebrimma Sanneh did
what he does best for City Stars in the 43rd minute when he was set up
by Calvin Masawa’s to smash the ball past Tusker’s replacement
goalkeeper Martin Musalia.

This result marks Tusker’s fourth winless match in a row, which all
but locked them out of the running for the 2015 Kenyan Premier League
title. Énding any of hopes of Kimanzi’s challenging for the league

Mathare United 1-1 Bandari (Nyayo Stadium)

Mathare coach Stanley Okumbi re- suface to pick one point.

Mathare defender Robinson Kamura got things going in the 59th minute
when he headed in a free kick floated in by dead ball specialist Noah
Abich.

Reliable George Abege rescued a point for the dockers six minutes
later when he converted Musa Mudde’s cross past Bandari goalkeeper
Peter Odhiambo who was standing in for the suspended Wilson Obungu.
