Jericho All Stars 1-1 Ajax
Jericho All Stars moved a point clear at the top of Sportpesa Super 8 Premier League after settling to a 1-1 draw with Ajax at Camp Toyoyo on Saturday 19.
In an earlier kick off match at the same venue, Shaurimoyo Blue Stars got the better of host Masa beating them 2-1 to climb to third on the log.
Host Jericho All Stars went ahead in the 12th minute through Eddie Kuria for his third goal of the season, Ajax however refused to be bullied, rallying back to restore parity with Bidan Kagali’s 35th minute goal.
The second half failed to produce a winner despite numerous begging scoring opportunities from both ends.
All Stars lead may only last for hours pending Metro Sports’ tie against Kawangware United tomorrow. A win for Metro will see them assume the leadership of the league with 17 points, two clear of All Stars.
Masa 1-2 Shaurimoyo Blue Stars
Kevin Liyala gave Masa the lead through a penalty in the 34th minute, before Malik Rahim leveled for Blue Stars in the 50th minute. Mulinge Moses then bagged the three points for the visitors in the 79th with a fine finish pushing them to top three with 14 points.
Baba Dogo United 5-5 Kabete United
In another match of the day at Baba Dogo Grounds; the home side Baba Dogo and Kabete United canceled each other out in a goal fest which ended in a 5-5 draw.
Both have pushed their points tally to 8 each, and are currently in top 10.
The league continues tomorrow so get out and #WakilishaMtaaYako
