Kawangware United 0-1 Metro Sports
Metro Sports have stormed to the top of Sportpesa Super 8 Premier League table with a hard fought 1-0 triumph away to Kawangware United at Kawangware GP on Sunday 20.
Peter Ambetsa turned out the hero for East Conference’s pride with a fine strike in the 16th minute to silence the home jeers.
Metro assume the leadership of the log with 17 points, two clear of second placed Jericho All Stars who failed to win at home yesterday.
Kayole Asubuhi 2-1 Shamako Babes
At City Stadium, an early kick off match pitting Kayole Asubuhi versus Shamako produced nothing but football heaven as the home side battled to earn their third win of the season.
After a barren first half, Joel Mutua put Kayole ahead in the 61st minute only for Shamako to restore parity three minutes later through Kioko Jackson’s penalty.
Never to be deterred, Kayole fought tooth and nail, throwing every body forward in search for the winner which came late into the advanced minutes of the game. Godwin Sematimba grabbed the all important goal in the 89th minute to deepen Shamako woes.
Shamako remains winless in seven fixtures and are rock bottom with just a point. Kayole climbs to top ten.
Kiambiu Youth 1-2 Melta Kabiria
Melta recorded their first win of the season shocking favorites Kiambiu in the second match of the afternoon at City Stadium.
Melta were the first to score in the 13th minute through Muhoto Wilson, but the lead never lasted as Madagwa Valdo responded for Kiambiu five minutes later with a wonderful free kick just outside the box.
Daniel Ayoyi then bagged all the three points for Melta in the second half with a superb finish in the 75th minute.
Kiambiu retains the fifth spot with 12 points, five off leaders Metro while Melta improves their points tally to six but remains in the danger zone.
Kayole Youth 1-2 Diguna FC
In another match of the day played at MYSA Headquarters, Diguna got the better of Kayole Youth beating them 2-0 to record the second win of the season.
The two remains in the relegation danger area with 7 and 6 points respectively.
