Sportpesa Super 8 Premier League week 11 continues on Sunday 10 with 5 mouthwatering ties on the cards – so get prepared to #WakilishaMtaaYako
TUK vs Shaurimoyo Blue Stars, Jericho All Stars vs Kiambiu Youth
Camp Toyoyo will host a double header with an early kickoff at 1PM pitting university side TUK against Shaurimoyo Blue Stars – to be followed by a clash between third placed Jericho All Stars and Kiambiu Youth.
Jericho will be out to keep tabs with run away league leaders Metro Sports with a chance to move within a point reach at second position. Metro beat Melta Kabiria 2-0 in a midweek fixture on Wednesday to pill pressure on Jericho who dropped to third on the log after Kayole Asubuhi gained a point with a 2 all draw against Kiamaiko City on the same day.
Metro are top with 25 points, three and four points off Kayole Asubuhi and Jericho All Stars respectively.
Kiambiu’s last league match also on Wednesday against Kawangware United was abandoned in the later stages when they were leading 3-2 due to unsporting behavior from a section of players from both sides. And as we wait for the league body to take appropriate action, we hope that such acts will not reoccur.
On paper the Makadara side are favorites against Kiambiu who have only managed three wins in nine outings – Jericho All Stars boasts the second most lethal forward-line in the league, having put 20 goals past their opponents in 10 matches while conceding just 9.
Victor Walera and Eddie Kuria are players to watch on the Jericho side, and on the other end, hat trick hero in the abandoned match against Kawangware James Mandela is a goal poacher worth taking note of.
A win could take Kiambiu to top five with 16 points depending on how TUK performs against Shaurimoyo Blue Stars.
Kabete United vs Ajax FC
At ACK Kabete Technical, home side Kabete United will be up against Ajax FC in ding dong clash worth your time and money.
Ajax who have been on a downward spiral will be looking for redemption and a chance to rescue their campaign with three points – at position 13th on the log, anymore slip ups could see them slide in the danger area.
Kabete on the other hand could climb to 5th with 17 points with a fifth win. Their biggest undoing is conceding as much as they score, a worrying trend they need to check – they have scored 25 times and conceded 23 times.
Diguna FC vs Shamako Babes
Diguna will invite Shamako Babes at Nakeel Ground from 1PM.
Diguna drew Shaurimoyo Blue Stars 2-2 in their last league match and will be angling for a come back when they meet bottom placed Shamako – a win could also propel them to fifth with 17 points on the log.
For Shamako, it will be another fight for the second win of the season, and a chance to slowly crawl out the relegation bottom pit they are currently in. The west conference side has conceded 29 times and only scored 12 times in 10 outings, the worst record in the league.
Kawangware United vs MASA
11th placed MASA will be seeking to bounce back from a 2-0 beating in the hands of Jericho All Stars and master a win against strugglers Kawangware at Kawangware BP.
On the other hand Kawangware who were on the verge of a beating in the hands of Kiambiu Youth on Wednesday will be out to make amends as they search for the third win of the season.
They boasts the league top scorer in Francis Thairu who has netted 8 times. Mercurial Thairu will be definitely a man to watch in the tie, and he will be expected to extend his rich form with more goals.
A win could take MASA to 8th on the table while a win for Kawangware could see them just to top ten with 12 points.
