All the fixtures on Saturday produced winners with a total of nine goals being celebrated.
Metro Sports halted their downward spiral with a well worked out 2-0 victory over Baba Dogo United which keeps them five points off leaders Jericho All Stars on 34 points.
At the bottom, Shamako Babes free fall continued as they registered the 16th loss of the season in the hands of Kawangware United who edged them 1-0.
The biggest win of the day belonged to Melta Kabiria who thrashed Kiamaiko City 3-0.
MELTA KABIRIA 3-0 KIAMAIKO CITY
Sammy Agesa netted twice in five minutes to inspire Melta Kabiria thump visiting Kiamaiko City 3-0 in the 19th round of the SportPesa Super 8 Premier League played on Saturday 2 July at BP grounds in Kawangware.
Agesa scrambled home the match opener in the 17th and yet again in the 21st minute as the West conference side overpowered their conference rivals in the first half.
The citizens failed to sparkle in the second period and Hassan Kamau punished them with seven minutes remaining on the clock with a wonderful goal that sealed the resounding 3-0 victory to the delight of the home supporters.
The morale-boosting performance for Melta sees them move a spot up to 10th with 24 points in the league table standings while Kiamaiko drop to 13th with 20 points.
SHAMAKO BABES 0-1 KAWANGWARE UNITED
Elsewhere at Kabete grounds, a 43rd minute strike by current SPS8 league top scorer Francis Thairu of Kawangware United further deepened Shamako Babes woes in the league.
Now with 17 goals under his belt in the competition, Thairu condemned Shamako to their fourth successive defeat that leaves them at the base of the 16-log chart with five points.
Although Kawangware wasted glorious chances in the opening half, Shamako held on dearly to the narrow score line but the only goal in the first half guaranteed the visitors the spoils that improves their point tally to 22 at 11th position.
KIAMBIU YOUTH 2-1 AJAX FC
At Camp Toyoyo, Peter Otiri and Collins Oduor guaranteed Kiambiu Youth maximum points of the match by finding the back of the net in the 28th and 61st minute correspondingly against a hard-fighting Ajax Fc from the West conference.
However, the visitors ensured they went down with a spirited fight as Robert Mwadegu found his way past a forest of legs to slot home the consolation late in the match.
But that did not make much difference on the log as they still remain 7th with 28 points whilst Kawangware climb two spots up to 11th with 22 points.
BABA DOGO UNITED 0-2 METRO SPORTS
Metro Sports rediscovered their winning touch after edging hosts Baba Dogo United 2-0 at Baba Dogo grounds.
After a dull first half, Boniface Oluoch scored the opener in the 67th minute before Jerome Onyango rounding up the win for Metro Sports to earn all the games points.
The win did not do much for Metro who stagnates at 4th with an improved 34 points while Baba Dogo also remains unchanged at 14th with 17 points.
