East conference titans Jericho All Stars returned to the apex of the Sportpesa Super 8 Premier League with a bang after a 3-0 annihilation of Kiamaiko Babes at Huruma Grounds.

All Stars commands the log table with 27 points, two clear of Metro Sports whose match against Diguna FC was rescheduled in honor of departed Diguna player Jeremy Omondi “Crespo”.

Eddie Kuria opened the scoring on the 3rd minute before Kevin Ndungu made it 2-0 on the 20th minute. At the hour mark, Eddie was on the scoring chart again with a brace to compound Kiamaiko’s woes.

The loss condemns Kiamaiko to 14th with 11 points from 3 wins, 2 draws and 7 losses.

Kayole Youth 1-3 Kawangware United

Kawangware showed character to bounce back to winning ways with an emphatic 1-3 drubbing of Kayole Youth at MYSA HQ.

The West Conference outfit needed the win like their lives depended on it to atone for the loss of points in their abandoned match against Kiambiu due to acts of hooliganism on Wednesday 6, which was awarded to Kiambiu..

Kagunda Peter commenced the four goal thriller with the opener in the 22nd minute for Kawangware before Kayole Youth restored order in the 34th minute for 1-1 half time scoreline.

Second half saw the visitors express more hunger for glory as they fired from all cylinders and in the 58th minute, danger man Francis Thairu restored the lead with a clinical finish before grabbing another brace of the day in the 75th minute for a 1-3 final result.

Kawangware are 10th on the log with 13 points while Youth are second from bottom with 7 points.

Shamako Babes 0-2 Kabete United

The whipping boys of West Conference side Shamako Babes slammed to the 9th defeat of the season with a 2-0 crushing in the hands of Kabete United at ACK Kabete Technical Grounds.

The win was Kabete’s fifth in 12 outings – they maintain the 6th spot on the table standings with 17 points.

Kabete went in front through Patrick Shikuri’s 42nd minute goal with Sylvester Mating’i putting the icing on the cake with the second goal in the 88th minute.

Shamako remains deeply rooted in the danger zone with 4 points from just a single win and a draw.

On “Super Sunday” at City Stadium, Baba Dogo and Shauri Moyo Blue Stars were triumphant in their respective ties.

Baba were the first to take to the field against Kiambiu and they never disappointed, winning 1-0 versus Melta Kabiria. Peter Oriri was the “Mtaa” hero as he slotted then lone goal for the visitors in the 70th minute, to bag all the three points.

They move to 8th on the log with 16 points same as Kiambiu who have inferior goal difference at 9th spot.

In the second match, 10-man Melta Kabiria went down 1-0 to Shauri Moyo Blue Stars. Papa Wemba netted a beauty at the half hour dot for a 1-0 slim lead heading into the first interval.

Melta’s Sammy Agesa received his marching in 62nd minute handing Shauri the numerical advantage, the resultant penalty was missed by Rahim Malik.

The beautiful day of football was crowned by live performances by musicians “Nonini” and “Kenzo” so if you missed, you missed so much fun.
