Lethal forward Meddie Kagere of Kenyan Premier League 2015 champions Gor Mahia is the winner of Sportpesa sponsored Sports Journalists Association of Kenya player of the month of September.
The Ugandan born Rwandan shrugged off opposition from City Stars’ striker Ebrimah Sanneh and Chemelil’s Meshack Karani to emerge the finest of the month. He becomes the third K’Ogalo player to lift the prestigious gong after Ali Hassan Abondo and defender Karim Nzigiyimana.
Nicknamed “Lwanda Magere”, the witty forward has been in a form above the rest, managing to shake the net three times and providing two assists in four matches Gor played in the month, these include goals in; League, GoTV Shield and Top 8 tournament.
“I wouldn’t have done it without the help of my teammates who have been great. Actually this is not my award but their.” Kagere said.
The gong comes with Kshs 50,000 and a 43” flat screen TV from the award partner “LG”
