Ethiopian champions St. George FC this evening beat visiting Sudanese Giants El Merreikh in a friendly encounter in Addis.

Natnael Zeleke netted the lone goal in the 20th minute through a diving header to the delight of Kidus Giorgis fans as they celebrate 80th anniversary of the 26-time league champions.

Neider dos Santos’ charges will next play Kenyan champions Gor Mahia on Thursday 14 as the year long celebrations draw to a close, K’Ogalo are expected in Addis on Tuesday 12.
