St George will play AE Ramassa in a friendly in Addis Ababa Stadium on March 9, St George fc said on Tuseday.
St George football club, on Tuseday announced an international friendly match between the Horsemen and the Spanish third division team, AE Ramassa.
A.E. Ramassa of Barcelona is a Spanish football team based in the province of Barcelona in the town / municipality of Les Franqueses del Vallès. Founded in 1976 it plays in the Territorial Fourth Division and it is one of the most influential clubs in the area. The color of the team kit is yellow with four red stripes in honor of the flag of Catalunya.
The match will be played in Addis Ababa on March 9 and is being organized by St George football club, AE Ramassa, and the Ethiopian Football Federation. It will be the first international match for AE Ramassa.
A.E. Ramassa achieved hegemony from 1979 to 1990 and won the Lledoner Tournament seven times. Joan Pujadas, Esteve Viñolas, Josep Bellavista and Jaume Pujades were the leaders of this amazing generation.
This team was first managed by Jordi Valldeneu and then by Manel Pujadas, two legends of the club. The next years A.E. Ramassa experienced a noticeable decline but Manel Pujadas took the presidency of the club and invested to get the 3 best players in the province of Barcelona.
St George and AE Ramassa will meet for the first time in the two clubs history.
