Tunisian newcomers Stade Gabèsien eased past AS Kaloum after forcing a goalless draw in Conackry, they advance 2-1 on aggregate after they won the first leg in Tunis.
With that victory, Gabèsien are lining up for a potential quarterfinal clash with either Zambia’s Zanaco or Zimbabwe’s Harare City. The former however have a realistic chance after they carry a two away goal cushion.
Also making it to the play off round of the second tier club competition is Uganda’s side SC Villa who outclassed Zanzibar’s JKU 5-0 on aggregate. The Jogoos as they are commonly known beat the islanders 0-1 in Amman carrying a 4-0 home victory in Kampala to the Island nation. Ambrose Kirya scored the lone goal
SC Villa will face Cameron’s UMS de Loum or FUS Rabat of Morrocoo for a play off round
