Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is believed to have settled on his finest eleven to do duty when they take on 2012 African Champions Zambia in the 2018 World cup qualifier match to be played on Sunday at the Levi Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola .
The German tactician has settled on almost the team that played Tanzania in the last African Cup of Nations Qalifier. The only change will be the introduction of Brown Ideye for bereaved Watford star Odion Ighalo.Kenneth Omeruo will also play alongside William Troost-Ekong in the absence of the injured Leon Balogun in the heart of the defence.
Ahmed Musa, who has struggled to establish himself at premier League champions Leicester City, will also be axed to the bench.
Gent of Belgium winger Moses Simon will be picked ahead of Ahmed Musa.
However this has not gone well with some players in the bench and this could affect the super eagles both mentally and physically ahead of the showdown
The Proposed Line up
The starting XI (4-2-3-1):
Carl Ikeme – Musa Mohammed, Elderson Echiejile, Kenneth Omeruo, William Troost-Ekong – Ogenyi Onazi, Mikel Obi (captain) – Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho – Brown Ideye
