Tanzania senior soccer team Taifa Stars will on Friday, August 28 play Libya in an international friendly match in Turkey.
The team is currently in Turkey for a one week camp which started on Monday 24.
Speaking from their base via phone this morning, Stars’ media officer told Soka25east.com that the team is in high spirits and is ready for the Libya test.
The squad which consists of 21 players has been training twice a day since Tuesday under the watchful eyes of the technical bench led by head Coach Charles Benjamin Mkwasa.
Missing in the camp is Azam FC keeper Aishi Manula who did not travel for the camp due to an injury he picked during their Community Shield match against Yanga SC.
Stars are expected back home on Tuesday next week.
They face Nigeria in their next AFCON 2017 qualifier match on September 5 in Dar Es Salaam.
