Vodacom Premier league giants and last season’s runners up Azam FC has had a cordial relationship with Ivory Coast in a fairy tale of signing players from the West African Country.
Former Chelsea reserve keeper Vincent Atchouailou de Paul Angban is reportedly headed to the Chamazi based outfit after agreeing personal terms with the Club. According to Azam’s official facebook page, the keeper will arrive next week accompanied by his three country men who play for Azam.
The 30 year old keeper will however have to compete with Taifa Stars Keeper Ali Mwadini and Aisha Manula for the position.
The Ivorian played for Rio Sport d’Anyana and Sewe Sports in the 2006/07 season. He joined Ivorian glamour club Asec Mimosas from 2007 to 2009 where he got an injury and being replaced by Ghanaian Daniel Yeboah.
He has also featured for Cote’idivore U20 in the 2005 Championships in Benin and also the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
He also featured for Ivory Coast in the 2009 CHAN in a match against Tanzania the latter won by a solitary goal courtesy of Mrisho Ngassa.
The experience keeper is what the Alhaj Sheikh Said Salim Bakhresa’s owned team needs as they prepare for the CECAFA Kagame cup and the CAF Confederations Cup net year.
Vincent will be the fourth Ivorian joining the club after twins Kipre Herman Tcheche and Kipre Michael Balo together with Serge Pascal Wawa had joined the club earlier.
