Mobile phone company Vodacom Tanzania today Wednesday, August 12 put ink to paper on a renewed league sponsorship contract with Tanzania Football Federation (TFF).
The deal worth 3.115860 million USD is a 40% improvement from the last agreement and will run for the next three years.
The ceremony took place at the TFF headquarters in Mlimani City and was witnessed by the federation president Jamal Malinzi and Vodacom manager in charge of sales Kelvin Twissa.
Speaking after the signing, Jamal thanked the company for the continued partnership as Tanzania top tier league title sponsors.
“We are proud of Vodacom for being part of our league’s success. The sponsorship goes a long way in helping our clubs prepare well, hence making the league competitive and exciting. We have expanded the league to 16 teams and we expect more excitement in the new season.”
Kelvin on his side expressed delight in Vodacom associating with the league saying they hope to see Tanzania teams doing well in international matches.
The new Vidacom Premier League kick-off on September 12,2015.
