Its now official,Startimes Media has entered into partnership with the Tanzania Football Federation and will now sponsor the second tier league,FDL at a tune of Tsh 900 Million(approximately 450,000 Dollars)
According to the federations official portal,the deal will go for three years.
TFF President Jamal Malinzi thanked the pay television company for investing on football and naturing of talents in the country.
He further added that another 450 million deal will added for broadcast rights to a total of Tsh 1.3 Billion.
Speaking during the unveiling of the sponsorship deal,The company’s Managing Director Lanfang Liao welcomed the TFF/Startimes partneship saying it will improve football standards in the country.
Also present was the Chairman of Kinondoni Municipal Council Chairman John Njonde who spoke on behalf of the 24 Clubs that are distributed across the 16 provinces.Njonde also thanked TFF and the company.
The FDL began last weekend in different venues across Mainland Tanzania
