Relegated Tanzanian Vodacom Premier League Club Ruvu Shooting FC has criticised Mwanza based Toto African Club for faulting in signing their player Hamisi Seleman without their permission.
The management of the club that got relegated to the second tier last season has strongly condemn the act by Toto Africa to ssign the player who still has a running contract with the club.
Ruvu Shooting head of Communications Masau bwire said the Club Toto African who is preparing for the top tier set to begin this month signed the player yet they had sent the name of the said player to TFF to participate in the second tier league.
Toto has confirmed signing the player who still has a running contract with Ruvu and according to Bwire,the player even received last month’s salary when he was for holidays.
‘Ruvu Shooting is not happy with the decision made by the Mwanza based club for signing their player Hamisi Selemani as this contravenes the rules of the Tanzanian governing soccer rules,We have paid even his salary for last month when he was on holiday and yet he has signed for Toto. We are telling Toto to follow the laid down procedures if they need the player’ A statement from the club through Bwire said.
Meanwhile,Toto African finished second in the Lake region Tournament involving Premier clubs from the region.The tournament was held in Shinyanga at the Kambarage Stadium.
Mwadui FC were the overall winners beating Kagera Sugar 1-0 in the last match to attain a total of 6 points after they earlier beaten Toto African by a similar margin.Toto finished second after beating Kagera Sugar 2-0.
In the final match,Salum Iyee scored the lone goal for Mwadui after receiving a fine pass from Maregesi Mwangwa.
StanUnited however was disqualified for sending a Youth team that had earlier lost 4-0 to Mwadui.The organizers sent Stand packing and nullified the scoreline.
