Tanzania’s Simba SC will be entitled to 20% of Mbwana Samatta’s compensation fee if the TP Mazembe forward strikes a deal with KRC Genk of Belgium.
Godfrey Nyange, Simba Vice President disclosed that the 20% clause for subsequent transfer of the player from the African Champions was inserted on Samatta’s contract signed in 2011.
The 2015 CAF Champions League top scorer is believed to be on the verge of penning a lucrative long term deal with the Belgium top tier side, valued at Euros 2.5 million. He was accompanied by Mazembe President Moise Katumbi for the talks.
“The contract talks of 20%, and that’s what we are waiting for as a club when the deal matures.” Nyange said.
