Tanzanian Mainland Vodacom Premier league giants Simba Sports Club are the Simba Day winners after beating hard fighting Sports Club Villa 1-0 in an international friendly also celebrating the Simba Day in Dar es Salaam.
Awadh Juma scored late in the 90th minute to earn the msimbazi boys the trophy that had evaded them for seven years.
Simba last won the cup in 2008 and this is a moral boost for the club.
Simba are preparing for the start of the Vodacom Premier league,Tanzania’s top tier.
