The Egyptian Under-17 National team suffered a 3-2 loss in an international friendly against Tanzania which took place in Chamazi Stadium in the Tanzanian capital Dar es Salam in their preparations to 2017 African U-17 Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The match against Tanzania is the third friendly game for the U-17 Pharaohs in less than a month. The National Team played two friendly matches against Algeria, winning the first one 1-0 before losing the second game 2-1.

Its was the second win for Serengeti boys against the Egyptian opponents as they proved their superiority over them in two wins after two games.

The Pharaohs took the lead after 22 minutes through Moustafa Elyas. However the Tanzanians responded quickly, equalising 5 minutes later with a goal from Ibrahim Abdallah, before completing the turn around, with Boko Selman putting the hosts 2-1 up nine minutes before the end of the first half.

Ibrahim Abdallah scored his second goal of the game to double the Tanzanians’ lead in the 60th minute, before Diaa Wahid managed to pull one back for the Egyptians 15 minutes before the end of the game. Wahid’s strike turned out to be of no avail, with the Tanzanians holding on to record a 3-2 win.
