This season will see three new teams Njombe Mji,Singida United and Lipuli FC take part in the 16 team league
Defending champions Yanga will start their title campaign with a home clash against promoted Lipuli at the National stadium on Sunday 27th August while Federations Cup winners Simba will entertain Ruvu Shooting at at the same venue a day earlier
Other matches on the weekend will see promoted money bags Singida United travel to Shinyanga to play Mwadui while Sugar millers Kagera will be at the Kaitaba home ready for Mwanza City side Mbao.Njombe mjii will be at the sabasaba stadium to clash with Prisons from Mbeya while at the Sokoine Stadium Mbeya City will lock horns with Majimaji from Songea
The league will be preceded with the Community Shield clash between Yanga and Simba
