‘No!they will not get points here,i have a group of younf and cheaply acquired players who are determined to prove themselves against any team’ those were the words of Mtibwa Sugar head coach Mecky Mexime when he spoke to Sokatanzania before their clash against Yanga.
Yanga last won a match at the Jamhuri Stadium in 2009 when goals from Bakari Nurdin and Mrisho Ngasa helped them win 1-2 away.they have however since then found Morogoro a difficult hunting ground losing 2-0 in the last fixture.
Yanga have so far won all their four natches including a derby win over Simba,Mtibwa too have won all their matches and this makes the clash tougher for both teams.
On his part,Yanga coach Hans Van der Pluijm has reiterated his plan of breaking the jinx and is confident of a win today.
Speaking to Mtibwa Sugar FC spokesman Thobias Kifaru over possibility of Yanga getting maximum points, his immediate answer was ‘Yanga is just a normal team like any other in the league, they can never threaten us’
Mtibwa Sugar will play Young Africans today at 4pm at the Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro.
Other matches lined up for today will see money bags Azam host Coastal Union at Chamazi,Simba confronts Stand United at the National Stadium while Majimaji play Ndanda FC in Songea.African Sports will host Mgambo JKT while Prisons entertains Mwadui in Mbeya.
At the Northern part of the country,Kagera Sugar will lock horns with JKT Ruvu in Bukoba as Toto Africans welcomes struggling Mbeya City in the only match on thursday
