Dar es Salaam giants Young Africans and Azam FC will clash tomorrow October 17th as Vodacom Premier league returns following an international break where Tanzania tossed out Malawi to advance to the next round of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The highlight of the weekend clash will be that pitting defending Champions Yanga against money bags and East and Central Africa Champions Azam at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Both teams are joint top with 15 points after winning all their matches with Yanga having a superior goal difference.The two teams last met in the seasons curtain raiser also known as ‘Ngao ya Jamii’ where they settled for a draw,they also settled on the same score line in the Quarterfinals of the CECAFA Kagame cup.
In other matches to be played across Mainland Tanzania,Simba Sports Club will travel southwards to the City of Mbeya where they will lock horns with wounded Mbeya City at the Sokoine Stadium.Simba are three points adrift leaders Azam and Yanga and the Msimbazi giants will be hoping for a draw between the top two teams to reduce the defeceit.
At the Majimaji stadium in Songea,hosts Majimaji will welcome African Sports while 11th place Ndanda FC will be at their Sijaona Nangwanda Stadium to take on Mwanza based Toto Africans.
Stand United will welcome high riding Tanzania Prisons at the Kamabarage Stadium in Shinyanga while Coastal Union will host Mtibwa Sugar at the Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.
On Sunday October 18th,Mgambo Shooting will welcome Kagera Sugar at the Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga while Mwadui Complex in Shinyanga will play hosts to Mwadui FC against visiting JKT Ruvu.
