The Tanzanian government has set aside a sum total of 5 billion Tsh for Sports entertainment and culture
This was announced by Finance Minister Dr Philip Mpango in his budget speech read in Parliament yesterday in Dodoma. He said the allocation will help in naturist talents and promoting sports and Culture in the country.
He however did not state the amount located to football.
In Kenya, a paltry Ksh 1.9billion wa allocated the ministry of sports despite Kenya hosting the 2018 IAAF U18 world champions and CHAN 2018 tournaments
Five countries namely, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi had their budget speech read out simultaneously the same day in Parliament.
