The Tanzanian Women football league is set to begin with a total of 12 teams scheduled to participate.
According to TFF Media Liaison Officer Alfred Lucas, this is good news to Tanzanian Women football with a total of 30 matches to go live on TV
The Tanzania Women Football Association and TFF have decided to launch the Women’s Premier league in Dodoma, The Country’s capital.
The launch will take place in Dodoma but thereafter the matches will be played across the 12 regions of Tanzania.
The opening matches will see Baobab take on Victoria Queens of Kagera region while the match between Sisters FC and Panama will follow at the Kigoma.
In Mwanza’s Kirumba Stadium Marsh Academy will battle Singida’s Majengo while in Mtwara’s Sijagwanda Stadium Viva Queens will host Mbuharati Queens of Dar.
Back at the Coastal town of Tanga, Fair Play of Tanga will welcome Evergreen of Dar at the Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga while the Karume memorial stadium will host the match between JKT Queens and Mlandizi Queens.
According to Lucas, the future looks Bright as this time TFF will not only depend on the Dar league to pick players for the womens National team.
