Tanzania’s Taifa Stars will depart Addis Ababa,Ethiopia tomorrow Friday for Alexandria Egypt where they are expected to face off with 8 time African champions the Pharaoh’s of Egypt on Sunday at the Borg El Arab in Alexandria.
Coach Mart Nooij was impressed with the preparations alluding to the fact that the one week training camp in Ethiopia played a huge part in giving the team renewed confidence “I want to thank TFF for ensuring we had proper preparations ahead of the important match against Egypt on Sunday.We know well it will be a tough match but I definitely love the mood in camp and I have told the players they have to go and work hard to get the valuable points since nothing comes easy”Nooij said
Mart Nooij has been under immense pressure to perform after his lads were knocked out of the Cosafa Cup hosted by South Africa with many calling for his sacking the TFF executive committee met and gave him a strict mandate to ensure the team qualifies for CHAN that will be hosted by Rwanda in 2016.
