Just a day after Yanga completed the signing of local based players ,rival Simba announced they had completed signing their locally based players and are scheduled to sign foreign players.
Simba has so far signed five local based players raiding Mbeya City just like their rival Yanga for the services of Peter Mwalyanzi.Other players signed include Mohammed Fakhi (JKT Ruvu), Samih Hajji Nuhu (Azam FC), Musa Mgosi (Mtibwa Sugar) and goalkeeper Mohammed Abrahim from JKT Ruvu.
Simba SC Executive Committee Member in charge of Signings Zacharia Hans Poppe said they are considering bringing back striker Paul Kiongera who is on loan to Kenya Premier league side KCB.
“We have completed signing of local based players and now we are eyeing foreign players. We have talked to several foreign players. Yesterday (Saturday)we were watching Kiongera(Paul) when he scored his side’s third goal in their 3-0 win over Muhoroni.We have seen he is still lethal and we think this is the best time to bring him back, we have not yet decided but we all agree he is good” Said Hans Poppe.
Kiongera currently plays for KCB and has been instrumental for the Bankers who began the KPL on a low.Kiongera sustained an knee injury when he was in action against Coastal Union in September 21st 2014 and was sidelined for several months but was able to get treatment in India paid in full by Simba before he was loaned to KCB. “Kiongera is our player, we have confidence that he has fully recovered and he plays more than 70 minutes, we must bring him back to Tanzania for the 2015/16 season” Hoppe added.
Meanwhile, as Simba completed the signing of local based players. Rivals Young Africans did the same a day earlier, just hours after securing the services of Malimi Busungu from Mgambo JKT.Yanga has so far signed four local based players in Deus Kaseke(Mbeya City),Mwinyi Hajji(KMKM),Benedictor Tinocco(Kagera Sugar) and Malimi Busungu(Mgambo JKT)
