The much hyped friendly pitting national soccer team the Harambee Stars against Italian giants Inter Milan will not take place after all.
The mouth watering fixture, touted to take place in early June, became a cropper with sources intimating to Soka25East.com that June being a world cup month, there was no way the fixture would materialise.
Coming hot on the heels of another friendly pitting the Kenya u20 side against an Italian junior outfit,FKF raised the nation’s expectations with news of the proposed match which has sadly turned out to be just hot air.
Perhaps the people responsible for the arrangements overlooked the fact that teams, including Italy which has players from the Nerazzuri, would be busy tying up loose ends in readiness for soccer’s biggest bonanza, the world cup in Brazil.
