ZANACO Vs APR
All the talk comes to a halt tomorrow as Numba and his boys walk on to the pitch against APR of Rwanda. This is the Champions League and one competition that ZANACO has not impressed in the past. The best outing is the second round meaning ZANACO has never gone into the group stage.
The last outing for ZANACO was against Orlando Pirates in 2013 who ejected the Bankers and they will hope they start strong to have an easy trot away in Rwanda but take it as it is, this is not a simple game for ZANACO and Numba MUMAMBA knows that.
While APR has been active in their league ZANACO has been struggling to put up a team together and Numba has faith in the team that he has assembled . We wait and see!!
Its also a big game for players like Kennedy Musonda, Taonga Bwembya and Chongo Chirwa who recently joined the club and are in the strong position to start this encounter.
KEY POINTS
ZANACO should avoid allowing goals in this encounter and Ziyo and Ba George should be excellent and not allow mistakes to destroy that defence. Am comfortable with Taonga Bwembya at right full back and he will be an asset going forward.
Chongo Chirwa did make some errors on the game against Ngezi and I hope he will be composed at the left back and not to allow the right winger enjoy play in that area. ??
Its a big game for these players and I hope they are up for the task. Zambians will not accept anything but a victory and that could be too much pressure for the players but this is why it is called football.
MY VIEW
I don’t expect much from ZANACO and beating APR will be a sweet victory and I will celebrate but I won’t be disappointed even with a draw and that’s what I think will happen. I don’t think ZANACO will be ready to allow APR dictate play at their back. ZANACO will get a point and I hope they won’t allow APR to go away with an way goal.
Take note less is known about APR and hence that alone is difficult for analysts and the technical bench!
