The Situation of Nchanga Rangers

Is it goodbye Nchanga Rangers?

I have never heard it in this country and this will be the first time for me but of course we are all aware that there are serious encyclopedia of Zambian football in this country and they may choose to correct this statistic.

Here is what the disciplinary committee means

1. As we speak Nchanga Rangers is remain demoted even when their point tally are above Nakambala Leopards .

2. If the season was to end today (check the table) Nakambala would survive and Nchanga would then take that spot of going down.

3. If Nchanga Rangers do not appeal they are as good as relegated and even after playing their last three games no matter what position they will end up with they will replace the highest placed in the relegation battle. And that team will have survived even after finishing in the red zone.

4. If Nchanga Rangers appeal the demotion then it’s another sitting and the Chingola Team would have to convince the Disciplinary committee that the facts on the ground are not factual. This is the reason why the team is allowed to play their remaining games because should they win and their position is off red zone then they would continue with the Super league status and that is only by them winning the appeal case.

IRONY OF LIFE

Nakambala Leopards and Lusaka Dynamos should be celebrating to this news because it is another hope for survival . Mufulira Wanderers too will be delighted because the fight for relegation is kind of lessened with Nchanga Rangers confirmed going down.

MY OWN OPINION

If Nchanga Rangers is guilty the best is to go division one and correct these matters by cleaning their house because match fixing should never have a place in football. It’s an expensive sport and deserving teams should be where they are supposed to be. If the team doesn’t deserve to be in the Super league there is always division one to correct their troubles.

But if the team is innocent then we all should welcome them back when this case is disposed off.
