There is no small team in the FAZ Super League – George Mandu

Red Arrows midfielder George Mandu says the FAZ Super Division is getting competitive as there is no longer a small team in the League.

Mandu tells Soka25east.com in an exclusive interview that the Local League is becoming stiff and teams are putting in extra effort to gain the desired points

“The competition is stiff there’s no team which is weak; you just have to work hard to beat them,” Mandu said.

The 19 year old midfield maestro who goes by the nickname Iniesta says he gets his inspiration from Barcelona ace Andres Iniesta and that being at Red Arrows has helped him grow as a player.

“It feels good to be at Red Arrows cause you associate with senior players and you learn more,” He adds.

Born on 20th January, 1997  George Mandu started playing football in the dusty grounds of Lusaka and immediately grew into an exceptional talent at his school.

“I also played for Kalusha Bwalya foundation in 2012.  I went to play school ball games in Mansa that’s were I was picked for trials for the under 17 National Team by coach Osward Mutapa.

“My football career started improving then we played at the  Zone 6 tournament the same year (2012). We came out second.  We were hosting it that’s when Red Arrows took me after the tournament. I joined Arrows in early 2013,” said Mandu.

George Mandu dreams of playing in a European League and tells us his best is yet to come.

“My ambition is to have a good and respective family, to play at the highest level and to invest more,” He concludes.
