Tanzanian international forward Thomas Ulimwengu has officially joined newly promoted Swedish top tier side AFC Eskiltuna on a three year deal.
AFC Eskiltuna sporting director Azad Budak confirmed the reports, disclosing that the 23 year old landed in Sweden on Monday and even took part in the team’s training on Tuesday.
“We get a fast and strong offensive player, which is good on one against one situations and can play in both attack and on the edge. He landed in Sweden on Monday and made his first workout with the AFC Eskiltuna on Tuesday. Now it is clear that the 23 year old national team player from Tanzania, Thomas Ulimwengu has signed a 3year contract with us.”
The former TP Mazembe talisman is expected to make his debut Tuesday next week as his side will be taking on Elfsborg in a preseason friendly.The soccer academy graduate has been out of action since October when he brought to an end his 5 year stay with the Lubumbashi based side.
