Former Mamelodi Sundowns Togolese midfielder Dove Wome has joined Latvia top flight side FK Venspils on a two year deal.
Wome was free a agent after parting ways with Absa Premierships side Supersport United.He has had trials with clubs such as Highlands Park,Bidvest Wits and recently Bloemfontein Celtic in South Africa.
The 26 year old attacking midfielder reached an agreement with the Tshwane based club for his contract to be terminated earlier than it’s June expiry date .Wome made a name for himself at Free State Stars before moving to Mamelodi Sundowns.
He also spent time with Orlando Pirates on loan from Supersport United in the second half of the 2016/17 campaign.
The Buccaneers had the option to buy the Togolese midfielder permanently,but they decided against a deal after the player struggled to make a mark in his short stay with them .
Venspils formed in 1997 have won six League titles and seven Latvia cup titles.They were the first Latvian side to participate in a UEFA competition in 2009.
