Tottehnam Hotspur midfield general Victor Wanyama has offered a cash motivation of 2,000 Pounds to Kenya Rugby 7s team “Shujaa” ahead of London 7s this weekend.

The Harambee Stars captain paid the Shujaa a surprise visit yesterday at their hotel in London during official kit presentation ceremony and offered them a word of encouragement and pledged a cash motivation.

“I want wish you guys well in your matches tomorrow (today), I know you can win the cup if you believe in yourselves, as Kenyans we are strong people, so go out there and do your best,” the former Celtic and Southampton man said.

“I will give a small token of 2000 pounds as motivation to you,” he added.

He tweeted:

Shujaa, ranked 12th in the World Series Table will open their group campaign against South Africa followed by USA and Wales.

Wanyama later left to focus on their final premier league match away to relegated Hull City at the KCOM Stadium on Sunday.

Nicknamed the Lion of Muthurwa, he has enjoyed an envious first season at the White Hurt Lane – mesmerizing the adoring fans with his virtuoso performances in the midfield.

The team is poised to finish second behind champions Chelsea and have booked themselves a spot in the lucrative Champions League next season.
