Botswana’s Township Rollers beat Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in their friendly match played in Botswana at the newly built Jamali Stadium in Tlokweng today.
Kaone VanderWestuizen and Tumisang Orebonye scored the goals for for Rollers, while Bernard Parker got on the score sheet for Amakhosi.
Zambian striker Lazarus Kambole featured in the game but was later replaced by Dumisani Zuma
The defeat for Chiefs comes just a week before the Carling Black Label Cup at FNB Stadium against Orlando Pirates.
With Itumeleng Khune not fit to start the match, Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp went with Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma in goal.
Parker opened the scores in the second minute but VanderWestuizen leveled the scores in the 26th minute. Tumisang Orebonye struck the winner in the 68th minute to give Popa the win.
