Botswana Premier League (BPL) side Township Rollers have moved closer to capturing the signature of Ugandan midfielder Ivan Ntege.
According to reliable sources the former KCCA defensive midfielder arrived in Gaborone on Monday and is beleived to have met Popa officials and will soon be switching to the 2016/2017 Botswana Premier League champions.
The Blues are expected to part ways with some of the team’s players before the next season commences and Ntege is seen as the possible candidate to fill the void left by one of the players Tico Majawa who left Popa struggling after moving back to Malawi.
Ntege was one of the longest serving KCCA player last season since he left FK Tirana though mostly he was warming the bench.
The former Uganda Cranes player contract expired at the end of the season at Lugogo and reports earlier last month indicated that Manager Mutebi was no longer intrested with the player.
Should the BPL move materialize,Ntege will become the first Ugandan player to join the league in recent years.
