TP Mazembe head coach, Pamphile Mihayo, is optimistic that his side will beat ES Setif of Algeria when the two sides meet in a CAF Champions League Group B clash at Stade du Mazembe in Lumbubashi on Saturday 5 May.
The former Ravens midfielder said he will parade a team that will eventually deliver a win to his side.
“It’s a great match and everyone knows it. We will be in the field to win though it won’t be an easy game but we will do everything possible to get what we want,” he said.
Mihayo will miss the services of Chico Ushindi, Miche Mika and Arsene Zola who got injures during training on Thursday. The team is however intact with eyes on the group opener.
“First you have to think about winning this game on Saturday. We are still very far from the trophy, we have to focus on the first game, gain points in the next meetings before thinking about the qualification and the title. We will focus game after game.”
The 2017 Confederations Cup champions will now pin his hopes on the likes of Ben Malango who netted a hat trick in their 4-0 win against Uniao Do Songo of Mozambique in the previous round.
A win will see the ravens moving up the log table, but that will depend on the result between Difaa El Jadida and MC Alger in a match set to be player later in the day.
