Matumaini ya klabu ya soka ya TP Mazembe ya Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Congo kufuzu katika hatua ya nusu fainali ya michuano ya klabu bingwa barani Afrika yamedidimia baada ya kufungwa na Al-Hilal ya Sudan bao 1 kwa 0 katika mchuano muhimu wa makundi mwishoni mwa juma lililopita jijini Khartoum.
Licha ya kushindwa katika mchuano huo, Moghreb Tetoun ya Morroco ikiwa nyumbani pia ilididimiza matumaini ya Mazembe kwa kupata ushindi wa mabao 2 kwa 1 dhidi ya Smouha ya Misri katika mchuano mwingine wa kundi A.
Moghreb Tetouan sasa inaongoza msururu wa kundi hilo kwa alama 8 sawa na Al-Hilal ya Sudan pamoja na TP Mazembe ambao ni watatu lakini pia kwa alama nane. Smouha ambao ni wanne kwa alama 3 tayari wameshabanduliwa katika mashindano hayo.
Michuano ya mwisho ya marudiano ya kundi hili itachezwa mwezi ujao, na ni lazima kwa TP Mazembe kushinda na watamenyana na Moghreb Tetoun mjini Lubumbashi baada ya mchuano wa kwanza kutoka sare ya kutofungana.
Al Hilal nao watakuwa ugenini kumenyana na Smouha, mchuano wa kwanza, Al Hilal walishinda kwa mabao 2 kwa 0.
Tayari Al-Merrikh ya Sudan na USM Alger kutoka kundi la B zimefuzu katika hatua ya nusu fainali.
